Playoffs Player Rankings

By Dan Spazierer

Ranking players for the playoffs is a tricky business. The margin of error is much larger than for the regular season, when unusually good or poor numbers will be averaged out over the course of a whole season. In the playoffs, a weak start can’t be overcome by a strong finish, and the difference between a player worth starting right into the Super Bowl and one eliminated early can be as little as an incomplete pass (or, as folks west of New England call it, a fumble). In this vein, keep in mind that these rankings are only based on likely scenarios, and by all means follow your own hunches when picking a playoff team. Good luck!
