With Bill Schroeder, Antonio Freeman and Corey Bradford gone, the battle for the WR spots was suddenly wide open in Green Bay. As it stands now, Donald Driver has the best chance to win the spot opposite Terry Glenn over Robert Ferguson and Javon Walker. Brett Favre consistently brings out the best in his receivers, and this shouldn’t be any different with Driver.
The big question is: can he hold on to a starting job? I wouldn’t waste a high draft pick on him, as he has a big question mark behind him, but as long as he starts for Green Bay, he is worth a roster spot on almost any fantasy team. He’d make a good late gamble in deep leagues, but keep a close eye on the Packers’ WR situation, and don’t hesitate to drop him if somebody else gets the starting nod.
