Sleeper Watch

By Dan Spazierer

It may have come as a bit of surprise that Gus Frerotte was named the starter at QB for the Bengals, but when you remember his solid play for Denver as a fill-in, this development makes sense. Frerotte is not a superstar and won’t put up monster numbers, but he is a solid passer with good arm strength. And he may be exactly the guy the Bengals need to breathe some life into their perennially struggling passing game. With the help of some good rushing and an underrated offensive line, the Bengals offense might be the surprise of the season, and Frerotte should be one of the prime beneficiaries, making him worth drafting for the #2 QB slot on almost any fantasy tream.
