This is a computerized ranking system created by Charles Budd and Steve Maluk (known in the Forums as Buckychudd and Wesley Walker). Factors taken into account include past performance of players and opposing defenses. Players listed as “out” or “doubtful” are not included.
Point projections are based on the following scoring system: 1 point per 25 yards passing or 10 yards rushing/receiving; 6 points per TD; -1 per fumble; -2 per interception thrown.
QUARTERBACK
Jake Plummer has become reliable again this year and faces the disappointing Bengals this week. If Steve McNair and Matt Hasselback can’t have big games this week, maybe it’s just not their year. Both should put some points on the board.

RUNNING BACK
Maybe Tiki Barber has finally been cured of his fumblitis. He is one of five backs we expect to post 100+ yards on the ground this week. Reuben Droughns, another one of those five, is still an unkown quantity to a certain extent, so be aware that he’s less of a sure thing than most other elite backs. But the Bengals are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs – Droughns should get some big yards.

WIDE RECEIVER
Randy Moss is a step above the rest, but is he healthy? While he’s being called a game-time decision, it should be noted that he’s never missed a game because of injury in his career. This has been the year of the #2 and #3 receiver: Donald Driver, Marcus Robinson, Brandon Stokley, Reggie Wayne and Isaac Bruce have all been money so far. This week, there should again be enough wealth to go around in high-scoring offenses such as those in Minnesota, Indianapolis, Green Bay and St. Louis.

TIGHT END
Projections for tight ends are even trickier than for other positions. Matchups seem to play a smaller role, although a defense that shuts down the run and the long ball is vulnerable to TEs. Daniel Graham seems to be a guy who is a great red zone option and scores a bunch, but doesn’t accumulate much yardage. Conversely, Randy McMichael is perhaps the best yardage receiver in Miami, but hasn’t found the end zone much.
