This week’s sleeper is for those of you in need of quarterback help. It’s none other than Atlanta starting QB Chris Redman. After filling in for an ineffective Joey Harrington, Redman came in and passed for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns against a Rams defense that has picked up its play recently.
There are rumblings within Atlanta that Petrino will turn to Redman again this week. Fantasy owners should take note that Redman is familiar with Petrino’s system, having played at Louisville when Petrino was the offensive coordinator there. If Redman takes the helm of the Falcons offense, he draws a Saints defense that has given up 250 yards per game through the air and 21 passing touchdowns. It’s a great match up to exploit this week if you are struggling to find a quarterback with upside heading into the playoffs. If Redman gets the call, I’m expecting 250 yards and 2 touchdowns this week. Good luck!
