4th and Goal – Show 2 - 1 comments

By Michael Stephens

Welcome to 4th and Goal, hosted by Michael Stephens and Nate Davis! We all knew Adrian Peterson and Drew Brees can be as good as they were in week one, but who will be that good in week two? With all sorts of start and sit information in our segments (Would You Rather, Locks and Flops and Cafe Talk), you’ll be able to gain insight into who should see the field for your fantasy squad this week and who should be riding the pine pony! We’ll also cover all of the linebackers dropping like flies (as well as any other fantasy-relevant injuries), take a look back and the good and the bad of week one, and continue our good old friendly competition with some picks against the spread! There’s plenty to talk about on this week’s episode, so you’d better call your best play or hit the showers, cause it’s 4th and Goal!

• Hosts: Michael and Nate
• 4th and Goal is brought to you by the Fantasy Football Cafe
• The show will come to you “live” every Friday morning (until the Thursday games, then we’ll move to Wednesday nights or Thursday mornings)

• Flea Flickers – a new e-mailer! Keep ‘em coming!
• Boom or bust at your WR2 spot? We say play it a bit safe, but with whom?
• Wounded Ducks – ouch, my ribs!
• We might have three brand new running back controversies after this week!
• The only Cards WR not on this list is on…the cover of Madden (uh oh)!
• How many big-named IDPers can get hurt in week one? Jeeze!
• In the News – who’s under center will make a big difference this Sunday

• Usually, we have four posts from the Cafe’s Start & Sit boards with advice, commentary and a little bit of extra pizazz. Unfortunately, the site was down on recording day, so you’ll have to wait until next week – maybe we’ll do six posts next week to make up for it! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us!

• Last week: 2-1-2; not bad at all!
• I’ll take the chunky soup, please
• Will this week be Forte’s forte?
• Championship!
• Dallas isn’t in Miami, is it?
• Which Meadowlands inhabitant has a better D this week?

• Last week: Though we’re not beaming with pride, 6-4-2 is not a bad start at all – at least we got the “sits” right!
• Three guys each host loves for the upcoming week – all you have to do to find out is listen!
• And three that they equally detest (it’s not personal, it’s just business! Or so the saying goes…)

• Nate starts out the season 4-1, while Michael “brings up the rear” with a 3-2 beginning.
• Three picks against the spread – we make no guarantees, until we start getting them all right at least!
• Two over/under props – we’d love to take suggestions from listeners, but for now we went for high-scoring affairs!

• Thank yous
