4th and Goal – Show 4

By Michael Stephens

Welcome to 4th and Goal, hosted by Michael Stephens and Nate Davis! What a week of injuries and top performers?! Want to know which running backs are going to be in the fray on Sunday or how many free agent IDP pickups you’re going to need to make to fill your roster for week 4? If you answered yes, you’re in the right place – 4th and Goal is just what you need to survive and move up in the ranks! We are going to have to start calling this show the “Meat Wagon” if all of the stars keep falling from the fantasy heavens, but first we thought we should help you try to bring some normalcy and consistency to your lineups with healthy doses of your favorite segments, like Flea Flickers, Cafe Talk, Would You Rather and much, much more! It’s time to call your best play or hit the showers, because it’s 4th and Goal!

• Hosts: Michael and Nate
• 4th and Goal is brought to you by the Fantasy Football Cafe
• The show will come to you “live” every Friday morning (until the Thursday games, then we’ll move to Wednesday nights or Thursday mornings)

• Flea Flickers – a new e-mailer with a live question…and many thanks to all of the weekend e-mailers as well!
• Making lemonade out of lemons – it’s hard work, but someone has to do it!
• Wounded Ducks (2:00)
• Ouch, my shoulder! Matty Ice time?
• Oh where, oh where have the healthy running backs gone?
• Patriots pass-catchers dropping like retirement funds
• IDP meat wagon report
• In the News – Three more QB situations of fantasy note (8:54)

CAFE TALK (12:37)
• This week we dove into four more of your posts and did our best to help with difficult start/sit questions.
• Who’s going to drop a bagel on you this week?
• Never sit your studs! Especially when they face a secondary with FIVE injured DBs…
• Which injured second-tier RB is a better option?
• Boom or bust at WR2

• Last week: 4-1; that’s more like it!
• How wacko is too wacko?
• Know your choice? Michael has a feeling…
• I’ll take the guy NOT facing a shutdown corner, please?
• You aren’t the Boss of me!
• If your opponent had 86 yards last weeks and just changed QBs, you win…

• Last week: what a tough week to predict! We went a workman-like 6-5-1, but we’ll do better this week!
• Three guys each host loves for the upcoming week – all you have to do to find out is listen!
• And three that they equally dislike of Sunday/Monday this week…

• Both guys go 3-2, taking them each to one game over .500 on the year – not bad, eh?
• Three picks against the spread – these are some tricky picks, but somebody has to make ‘em…
• Two over/under props – the biggest and smallest lines of the week, with some surprising predictions!

• Thank yous
