4th and Goal – Show 6

By Michael Stephens

New York Jets v Miami Dolphins

Welcome to 4th and Goal, hosted by Michael Stephens! This week’s show should be interesting; it features one half of a host instead of two! With Nate having to work all day and Michael sounding like he’s got a foot in the grave, this should be an interesting experience for sure! Michael tries his best to keep the excitement level at an all-time high (even if that means risking a 14-year-old-sounding voice crack here and there) in this episode, which features all of your favorite segments like Injury News, Would You Rather and Locks and Flops. There are plenty of apologies for our Jerome Harrison predictions in this episode, and while no amount of bowing and scraping can undo our picks in Against the Spread last week (NEVER pick the under on MNF), we’ll try to get back on the horse with some better picks this week! So without further ado, it’s time to call your best play or hit the showers, because it’s 4th and Goal!

Detroit Lions v Chicago Bears

• Flea Flickers – a new e-mailer with a live question…a big thank you goes out to the weekend e-mailers too; we hope we helped!
• Which two of these five STUDS to start in week 6?
• Wounded Ducks (2:17)
• The Lions are better off without this guy on their Staff this week
• Undisclosed illnesses during Swine Flu season are never a good thing…
• You’d be better off starting Bumble Bee this week at WR
• IDP meat wagon – LOTS of big names on this list – be sure to check it out!
• Hot Routes – game balls to last week’s top fantasy performers (7:38)
• Muffed Punts – the games of the week, not-top-10-style! (9:02)

CAFE TALK (10:37)
• This week, Michael dives into three posts from around the football Cafe, as he giggles maniacally at the opportunity to offer advice without question!
• Definitely not an ideal buy-low, sell-high
• Two good backs with tough matchups – pick one
• How much faith do you have in LT? You should have quite a bit!

• Last week: 3-2; thanks a lot Harrison and Orton – BOO!
• Time for a homer pick at QB!
• Don’t bank too heavily on last week’s performances
• Which week 5 breakout WR is the best start this week?
• Mmmm, Heath…
• The Saints defense is good this year, well at least much improved – just don’t start them this week, please?

New England Patriots v Denver Broncos

• Last week didn’t really go our way, but we still managed a 5-5-2 week!
• Three guys each host loves for the upcoming week – listen up and you’ll find out who they are!
• …and three more that aren’t worth a start this week…

• Someone goes O-fer and someone goes 2-3 – consider us embarrassed…
• Three picks against the spread – we’re gluttons for punishment, picking more 3-point spreads
• Two over/under props – the biggest and smallest lines of the week!

• Thank yous
