After a strong Week 8, the Cafe has a 36-28 lead over Fleaflicker. Funny sidenote: Doug (Fleaflicker) and I (Cafe) are the team captains on each side — and both of us are sitting at the bottom of our divisions. Of course, Doug is in line to pick up a win this week, while I’ll likely drop to 3-6. I don’t know what that says, other than I shouldn’t pair LaDanian Tomlinson with Brian Westbrook in a 16-team league. Oh well, won’t make that same mistake again. At least the Cafe team is winning!
Week 9
A few games are still on the line heading into Monday night. The Cafe needs 18 points from Hines Ward and a combined 17 points from Ben Roethlisberger and Rashard Mendenhall. Go Steelers! We’ll need both of those games this week, as the Cafe will likely be 2-4 in the other six games. If we drop both, we’re sitting at a 38-34 record heading into the last few weeks.
Update: We split the two games in question above. Week 9 goes to Fleaflicker.
