As noted last week, the Cafe basically locked up the Challenge Championship last week, needing not to fall completely flat on our faces over the remaining two weeks. I’m happy to report that that hasn’t happened.
Week 12
The Fleaflicker camp rustled up five wins in our eight games, but as we know, that’s far from what they needed. They benefited by a low-scoring win, with the two lowest-scoring teams happening to square off and FF coming out on top. Both bungle613 and mattb47 won their respective games to move to 10-2 each, so the battle for the first-round bye in the individual championship will come down to Week 13, where bungle613 takes on the 7-5 North East Beast and mattb47 takes on the 7-5 Carbondale Chargers. Those two FF teams are tied with Team Ski at the top of their division, so these games are also critical from their side.
Check back next week to see the final Cafe and Fleaflicker records, as well as receive a primer on the CFC Playoffs. The Cafe now has an eight-game lead, so Fleaflicker has to sweep Week 13 to end this Challenge in a tie. If the Cafe can win but one game, we take home the crown.
