The Cafe and Fleaflicker split the last week of competition four to four, but this aspect of the Challenge has been over for a few weeks. The Cafe has now officially won the Challenge. Congrats to our guys, and to the Fleaflicker teams for their hard-fought competition all year long. Now, on to the playoffs …
Bungle613 easily led the league in points scored, finished with an 11-2 record and earned a first-round bye thanks to a tiebreaker over mattb47. Matt will face flotsamnjetsam for the right to play Bungle in the semi-finals. Flot may have to play without WR Hines Ward, while Matt’s team is completely healthy. The winner of that semi-final game will be deemed Cafe Challenge champion and move on to the finals to take on the Fleaflicker Challenge champion.
Vying for that distinction in the first round are Darkseid and rwk1967. The two competitors tied at 7-6 during the regular season, and the winner will move on to face h2oski in the Fleaflicker final. Dark features an RB corps of Steve Slaton, Joe Addai, Justin Forsett, Jamaal Charles and Rock Cartwright. Great depth for a 16-teamer, and it looks like he’s going to need it.
Good luck to all six teams in the finals! Here’s the final week-by-week results of the Challenge:
