After four straight weeks of a Cafe beatdown, the gentlemen from Fleaflicker put an end to our winning ways, winning five of eight games in Week 6 to draw within 10 games of the Cafe. This week’s slate featured the league’s top two scoring teams, BoneCrushers on the Fleaflicker side and Bungled on our Cafe side, and just to build the suspense, this is likely the only game still in doubt going into Monday’s Eagles-Redskins game. How did the rest of the league do?
Week 7
With six teams off this week, this was bound to be a rough week of competition for this 16-team league. Predictably, the scores are down across the board. With that being said, the Fleaflicker team is flashing their depth, and they’ve locked up five of the eight contests at this point. I’m playing Team Ski, and although I have about an 11-point lead, he’ll be throwing Ladell Betts and Chris Cooley up against my Brian Westbrook. Free Bagel is almost sure to beat Annexation of Puerto Rico, who only has Jason Campbell to play and is down 21 facing Donovan McNabb and David Akers. In our featured matchup, BoneCrushers has DeSean Jackson and about a 13.5-point lead, while bungle613 counters with the Eagles D. We’ve seen many big games come from the defensive spot in our league, so this game is far from over.
Update: The Cafe took two of the three matchups in question.
