Week 15: Semifinals, Still No Shady - 18 comments

By R.J. White

Welcome to Semifinals Week in most fantasy leagues. If you’ve made it this far with LeSean McCoy stuck on your bench, you’ll have to go another week without the back known as Shady. He’s already been ruled out for Thursday night, as has Michael Vick. However, I see a nice bounce-back game coming for Bryce Brown, so much so that I’ve left him in my top 10 this week. Keep him in all lineups. Where did everyone else fall in Week 15? Check them out below.

    Hi R.J.
    Semifinals as u pointed out!
Do you like Nicks over Gordon/Moore/Shorts 1 pt ppr?
How about Forte over Bryce Brown/Morris 1 pt ppr?
I have Miami DST … Jets, STL, AZ and Cleveland all available …
I read the rankings … just wondering your thoughts?

@Ted Spencer: I like Nicks and Brown. At defense, I have those defenses completely re-ordered from the ECR consensus. Up to you who to go with, but they’re probably a safer bet (wisdom of the crowds).

In my league we have 2 flex postions in which we can play QB/WR/RB/TE. I’m seriously considering playing David Wilson over Jake Locker since I’m already playing Carson Palmer and Big Ben. Crazy or not a bad idea?

I’ve been frustrated all week trying to figure this out. . .

QB- Freeman, Dalton, E. Manning. . . i was leaning towards freeman and with your assessment and I fairly high ECR i’m pretty sure he’s a go

WR-C. Johnson, Wayne, Colston, Welker- Obviously starting Calvin. . . I was going to start Wayne and Colston also but saw you had them lower then usual. I guess I understand wayne, but am curious about Colston. I’m figuring a shootout and partly the reason for starting Freeman. I figured Colston would be a benefactor or that.

Thanks for your help as always

@DI5C1PL3: OK idea if Bradshaw doesn’t play, but I think going with the QB is the smarter move.

@jfella22: Had Colston a little lower since Brees hasn’t been at his best lately. Don’t think you can really go wrong with those options, so go with whatever works for you.

@daullaz: Thanks for the input. Thinking it through, a QB on a not so great day can still give me 10pts which isn’t all that bad. I currently have Leshoure, Morris and Bryce Brown as my RB’s. I guess I’m willing to sit Locker for Wilson over any of them; and your rankings seem to suggest the same. But I think I may run with the QB and see what happens!

also, i picked up dallas clark..antonio gates is my other TE.. If i go with freeman, clark is an automatic start, but how about if i go with matt ryan?

roddy white hasnt been practicing, if atlanta gets an early lead will he be sat down? the guy has never been on the DL or missed a game, so for him to miss practice something must be wrong..

Do you see the Titans DST as a sneaky good play, or a play with little upside vs. the NYJ?

@DI5C1PL3: If you really believe in Wilson and hear bad things about Bradshaw, LeShoure isn’t a bad bench candidate.

@adam.tussey: Gotta be Freeman in that matchup. The Saints have been a historically bad defense. I’d go White at the flex unless reports aren’t great, then Austin is solid.

@joejlitz: I think they have a good matchup, but they haven’t been all that good this year. If the Jets stick to the ground again, could be a disappointing fantasy day for Titans D.

@daullaz: Thanks for the input. Game started last night before I could change my lineup. Locker is stuck on the bench and I played Brown, Wilson, Leshoure and Morris. We’ll see what happens.

What WR’s should I start? Non PPR League. Pick 3. Miles Austin, Josh Gordon, Andre Johnson, Eric Decker, Torrey Smith.

Earth to whoever made these rankings. David Wilson is a top 10 play this week, and owners should start him with confidence….

I need some WR help with Dez hurt. Should I play TY Hilton over Dez? Apparently houston has given up the 7th most points to WR but I dont know if I trust that.

Also, for defense, should I stick with Chicago DST? I picked up Miami DST against Jax, and I feel like I should play them since they will probably have a greater upside.

@TitsMcGahee: I made the rankings, and I did so on Tuesday/Wednesday when it looked like Bradshaw could play (you can tell, since he’s listed above Wilson). At that point, Wilson was a RB3 at best. I will remove Bradshaw and move Wilson up to where I think he should be, though I don’t know how long it’ll take to reflect on the site.

@rangersfan: I’d stick with Dez, and I think Chicago might be the better play. The Expert Consensus Rankings has Miami one spot ahead of Chicago though, so use that info how you will.
