Cafe Pod Week 6: QB Injuries Shifting Fantasy Landscape

By R.J. White

We saw a few quarterbacks go down in fantasy leagues this week and one former starter sign with a new team. After talking a little bit about Josh Freeman’s fit in Minnesota, Josh and I break down the Rams-Jaguars matchup, looking at the Rams new depth chart at running back, the possibility of any Rams receiver emerging as a weekly fantasy option, the disappointing performance of Jared Cook since Week 1, the suddenly rejuvenated (or just “juvenated”) Jaguars passing game with Justin Blackmon’s return and Maurice Jones-Drew as a sell-high trade option or a hold/trade target in leagues. We hand out some weekly fantasy awards to the good (Tony Romo, Seattle rushing attach, Alshon Jeffery), the bad (Matt Schaub, Lamar Miller) and the ugly (Kenny Britt). We then look for some waiver saviors and matchup plays for Week 6, take a few Cafe questions and find some defensive streaming options. Give it a listen below.
