Stafford/Austin for Morris/Wells...WHIR as always!

Postby mgaska84 » Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:11 pm

I was offered Matthew Stafford and Miles Austin in exchange for Alfred Morris and Beanie Wells. Would you accept? I am at .500 and in second place, 1 game behind, in my division.

My team is
Cam Newton
Morris, Richardson, Wells, Brown, Woodhead
Moore, Marshall, T. Young, A. Brown, Britt
Graham, Daniels
Janakowski
Broncos

Does this trade help my team, and should I accept or reject?

I would not do this trade. Austin and Stafford have both been inconsistent. Alfred is locked-in as a RB1 every week, and Beanie is expected to come back with a vengeance (although perhaps a bit limited by LaRod's production in his absence).

If you make this trade, it would necessitate another one afterwards. You'd have Newton going to waste and a hole in one of your RB slots. I'd rather have Stafford and Austin in a vacuum, but I think this trade puts you too far behind the 8-ball at RB and doesn't provide you with enough of an upgrade at QB to warrant making the move.
