Going into the 2nd round in our 1st year dynasty draft. I got Trent Richardson in the first round. Looking over the value that is still available in the 2nd it seems not to be at RB. After the top 10 it just falls off a cliff to me. I'm thinking of going with Demariyus Thomas or Gronk. With a outside idea of taking Luck.
I was really really wanting to take Lynch. But he went the just before me. Is Thomas the lock #5 WR off the board. I know a lot of early rankings have Dez above. But Dez you have some real risk with him. I don't see a RB I would really consider other than Wilson. That's another huge risk so early. So I start thinking about taking Luck. Who could be a stud for the next 10 plus years for me. I favor him over the running QB's. Cam isn't consistent enough RG3 isn't worth a 2nd after the injury. Kaep isn't worth a 2nd. Gronk is valued in the 2nd but I might be hurting across the board going TE so early. Did it with Graham in one league and just couldn't compete with that roster.

I would definitely go with a rb at your spot. Having a young solid rb core can pay dividends in a fantasy keeper league. I would try to get a Murray or a Forte. leaning slightly towards Murray because Forte will lose some time to M Bush. I think it is a little too early to grab Luck. There are many other solid QBS still on the board and you wouldn't be hurting too much if you waited one or two more rounds before grabbing one.

A little late to the party, hope I'm not too late... I'd have to disagree here, I think Thomas is the guy you draft in this scenario.True, you need a young rb core with potential, but I wouldn't be too happy with T-rich as my RB1. I'd rate Forte over Murray, and Murray over Wilson. Demaryius Thomas is a much higher priority, I rate him higher than any of those RBs. He's a stud, should be a top 5 receiver this year, top 10 at the very least. Murray, Forte, Wilson, etc all fall into the top 20 backs position. I think you go for the guy with the most talent here... you won't regret drafting Thomas, but you'll be feeling it when Murray or Forte goes down.

Unfortunately everyone was late to the party lol. I looked through some rankings and personally opinions on how you want to build a new dynasty team. One way that I was leaning toward was taking the franchise QB so you are not chasing one year after year. I decided to go with Luck seeing him as the clear #1 talent left on the board imo. I actually started the QB run after that with Brady, Ryan, Cam and Kaep going in the next 10 picks. These are my options for this pick 2 away from me at this stage.
Top RB's available
DMC Gore
Top WR's available A Johnson White Cruz Fitz Decker Nelson Welker Crabtree Nicks Wallace Bowe
Top TE's Gronk, Graham and Hernandez off the board

The 2 picks went just as I was typing. Ridley and MJD are off the board.

Agree went with Murray. Which WR's do you like best out of that group? Would you go old good vet with White, Fitz, Welker. Or take a young guy like Nelson or Crabtree who both look like real good options going into next year. Or the most talented but biggest risk vs youth Nicks. Or if one of DMC or CJ2K drops do snah him and make him the RB3 flex option?

Tough call. Age doesn't seem to affect wide receivers as much as other positions. Old receivers can still produce solid numbers depending on the circumstance. I think you have to take a receiver here. Pesonally, I'm not a big fan of CJ2K or DMC. Very talented rbs but way too inconsistent.
My top three recievers would be Cruz, White, and AJ. Crabtree would also be a pretty sex pick here. Don't think you can go wrong with any of these guys.
My bottom three receivers are nicks, wallace, and bowe.
