Rookie Draft - spot #5... help...

Postby maestro1313 » Thu May 09, 2013 3:36 pm

12 team keeper - ppr...
Rookie draft - can keep for 3 years before activating...

Have #5, #8 & #12....
Gone so far...
Ball/Lattimore/Bernard/Bell... in that order. YES... that order...

Anyway... so sitting at #5...
Have 4 WR1's (CJ/Harvin/Bryant/Fitz)...
Rodgers at QB...
D. Martin/D. Murray at RB... (could use some help)
So... who would you take at #5 and target at #8/#12?
Thanks in advance...

Since you're stacked at WR, I think I'd take Lacy. And then I'd try to cuff him with Franklin at either #8 or #12. If you pick Lacy, and you want to risk Franklin falling to #12, you can pick one of the top 3 WR's (Austin/Patterson/Hopkins) at #8.

Or you could take Austin at #5 and try to trade a WR for RB help. If you do that, I think you can target Franklin at #8 & Stacy at #12.

Good luck! ;-D

Seems like what I was thinking...

Austin then hope for Franklin then Stacy...
Not a Lacy fan... at all...

Thanks for your thoughts..

I take Austin in a heartbeat... Great value at 1.05 in a PPR and the best available player IMHO.

If you need help at RB, trade one of your WRs. But take the best available player, or if you aren't sold, trade the pick.

Love Options: :-)
I give
#5/Rights to K. Wright WR & #24 this year...
get:
S. Ridley & a 1st in 2014...

I will still have #8 & #12 this year...
Thoughts? or just take Austin?

UPDATE: Bummer... deal for Ridley fell through... but all OK...

Got Austin with #5... Franklin with #8....

Now Sitting at #12... and the group that is gone:
Ball/Bernard/Bell/Lacy/Austin/Manuel/Franklin/Patterson/Hopkins/Lattimore
And right in front of me went Stacy! DAMN! :-t

So...
Still more WR's there... (Allen/Weaton/Woods/Hunter)...
Or...do I still work the RB angle with Michael?

Have a few years for someone to develop, if need be...
Thanks for your thoughts on this...

For me it would be between Allen/Hunter/Michael. Since you don't mind waiting a few years, and because you're stacked at WR, I'd probably pick Michael. A lot of people think he's the most physically talented RB in the class. Also, Lynch is 27 and the guaranteed part of his contract runs out in 2014, so Michael could end up being the starter or splitting time with Turbin soon. Good luck! ;-D

Done and done...

Stoked to have Austin/Franklin and Michael...

And if we get more 'off the wall' picks... I may get someone decent at #24...
Thanks for the thoughts...
