Pick a qb- is Orton even a option??

Postby dblj9911 » Wed Oct 07, 2009 1:30 pm

I'm in a 10 team dynasty league and currently in 1st place and want to keep things rolling along. I have been rolling with Palmer each week, he isn't putting up huge numbers, but he has been decent. So who should I start and why? Also who to be my 3rd wr? Thanks for looking, WHIR
QB's
Palmer @ Balt- there defense is pissed after last week, Palmer hasn't shown he is back to his old self yet, tough match up
Eli vs Oak- would probably start him vs. Oak, Smith will be shut down my Nmandy, is his heal a problem, or do they just run all day?
Orton vs NE- has played well, Marshall is starting to click with him, do I dare start him?

WR- need a 3rd to go with Fitz and Calvin
Henry @Balt- was high on him coming into the season, he hasnt' done much
Rice @StL- they will win easily, has shown some connection with Favre, scored 2 weeks in a row, can it me 3
Massoqui @Buff- Edwards is gone, Buffalo is bad, he is a rookie, but who else will catch passes

I like Orton and Rice.
Palmer will be in trouble against Balt, and Eli may not play well with heel. Rice and Favre are developing chemistry (but whoever your 3rd is, you will be fine with both Fitz and Calvin).

Thanks for your help with mine.

Im starting Orton this wek picked him up but Rivers is on a bye i got a feeling he be good this week tho, they should have to score some points in that game will have chance to get points. Eli im with u if does play i think the will run all over the place on OAK so he won't have to do much(i gonna have to sit steve smith cause of that and oak pass def) . Palmer not the best track record vs BALT.

WR rice does have chance to score but they to will run alot to control game.
I roll the dice and go with Massoqui should be alot points scored tough choice tough....Good luck ;-D

i would go palmer and rice. baltimores defense isnt what they used to be, they have been passed on this year. and cincy has no running game so palmer will get the throws

I have the same feelings as the guys above about going with Palmer and Rice. However, Massaquoi could potentially blow it up...it's your gamble. Good luck

Orton scares me, so I wouldn't go there and I'd be worried about Eli for the same reasons above. Therefore Palmer. I'd also go with Rice. I think he is starting to get some chemistry going with Favre, and I actually just picked him up off the WW this week.

I'd have to agree with those who said Palmer and Rice, but if Eli plays, it would be tough for me to pick Palmer over him. However, plantar fasciitis has put people out before, so I wouldn't count on him. I think the Giants will run and throw all over OAK with Eli in there. Both NYG and CIN play early games, so just watch Eli's status before game time...

Thanks for the help with mine...

I like Orton and Massoqui. I wasn't pleased with Schaub when I started him last week against Oakland so maybe I'm a bit biased.. but I could see the same happening to Eli. Baltimore might not have performed up to standards so far, but I believe the potential is still there. Orton has shown that he can take care of the ball and I feel there's a good chance they'll end up needing to go to the passing game against NE. The WR is close to a toss up.. but I go with Massoqui over Rice cause I could see Min really going to the running game in this one. Thanks for help with mine.

I actually like Palmer. I had Schaub v. Oak last week and he got me 12 points because the game got out of hands and he stopped passing.

Go with Rice as your starter. Becoming a favorite of Favre's.
