Local news (WTHR) just reported Dwight Freeney and Austin Collie will not be re-signed.

Thanks for the memories, Dwight. It has been a pleasure.

My heart hates both decisions, my brain agrees both are smart business moves. I now have a retired Dawkins, Edge, Marvin, Peyton, Freeney, Addai and Clark jerseys. Still have the Wayne and Mathis ones.....

Didn't they try that in Detroit? Wasn't there a player who discovered that his jersey's name block was kinda thick, and discovered his name had just been stiched over a previous players' (I think a RB) number?

I understand the man has to do what he has to do if he still wants to play, but new england? Perish the thought. What's next? Capulets dating Montagues? Hatfields marrying McCoys? Dogs and cats, living together?

Well, at least if they get him it'll be after he's slowed down a bit. I guess one could say we got the best years of his life, and now bellichick gets our sloppy seconds.
