ive been to a few chargers games this year and brees loves gates. as long as brees is throwing, gates will be his primary target......their chemistry is great.......mccardell is an awesome receiver, but he needs to learn the system and rythym of offens....as a gates owner in 2 leagues....ME NO WORRY

But one thing the addition of these WRs will do is move the chains. SD should actually see more opportunities overall, its up to Marty and Drew where those extra balls will go

That's what I was going to say. Any balls thrown to McCardell has the good possibility of stretching the offensive posession time, increasing the possibility for more passes to Gates.

I also agree that even though Keenan is new to the offense and isn't a huge threat, he will take away coverage from Gates.

All signs look good for Gates owners (yes I'm one, so I'm biased :)), but only time will tell.

I believe McCardell will replace Caldwell's catches, thereby making Gates the same guy he was before....a stud.Actually, this is what I'm praying will happen, because Gates is one of the few bright spots on my roster, and another hit could kill me!!!!
