He doesn't want to go quietly into the night. That's prolly why he exerted so much pressure to get traded. I'd bet good money this is his last year and he knows it.

He's going to do his durndest to go out with a bang or injure himself trying...

He'll probably be a productive WW pickup if he's still available in your league.

He should be productive in Seattle's offense. He's got a good accurate QB tossing to him, and if he's still got a step then he can contribute.

He should've retired years ago.

No one wants to see him play. He's a shell of his former self. Save some dignity and retire near the top.

I think he's a fine pickup off the WW as a #4 or #5 WR, but I wouldn't bother playing him until he shows something.

With all the WR trades that took place this week though, I'd rather grab someone else off the wire.
Praise Ricky!

Jerry Rice will continue playing until Pro teams stop offering him $$$$.

He might even continue playing even if they are not paying him.

Football may be Jerry Rices only cash cow. he just might be a bad business man with no other forms of income.

He is milking football for all that he can.

I dont have any serious insight into Jerrys life. But Magic had an EMPIRE to fall back on. Just like Jordan Brand.

I think Jerry Rice will open up a used car dealership in the Bay Area after this is all over...

Would any of you start Rice as a third or fourth receiver this week?

I'm a little surprised by the harsh words.
I have no doubt, whatsoever, that Jerry Rice will go into Seattle and have a positive influence on the offense. His presence alone will be huge. But, he will make an impact on the field, as well. It will take him all of about 15 minutes to integrate into the offense. He worked with Holmgren before, of course. He will work harder than the current WR corps has ever worked. He will take personal responsibility for incompletions and droppped balls. Those traits will have some effect on KRob, DJax and Engram.
I'm not saying that Rice will be an immediate fantasy starter, but don't underestimate him. I will not be at all surprised if he has better numbers than KRob (a guy that was probably drafted among the top 10 WR in most leagues) from here on.
With Engram hurt and Koren probably not Holmgren's favorite player right now, Rice will play. Probably start.
And, oh yeah, Hasselback isn't exactly Kerry Collins.

Jerry Rice didn't become the greatest receiver to ever play football by milking anything.
