I'm a little surprised by the harsh words.
I have no doubt, whatsoever, that Jerry Rice will go into Seattle and have a positive influence on the offense. His presence alone will be huge. But, he will make an impact on the field, as well. It will take him all of about 15 minutes to integrate into the offense. He worked with Holmgren before, of course. He will work harder than the current WR corps has ever worked. He will take personal responsibility for incompletions and droppped balls. Those traits will have some effect on KRob, DJax and Engram.
I'm not saying that Rice will be an immediate fantasy starter, but don't underestimate him. I will not be at all surprised if he has better numbers than KRob (a guy that was probably drafted among the top 10 WR in most leagues) from here on.
With Engram hurt and Koren probably not Holmgren's favorite player right now, Rice will play. Probably start.
And, oh yeah, Hasselback isn't exactly Kerry Collins.
Jerry Rice didn't become the greatest receiver to ever play football by milking anything.
