Most Underated RB = Emmit Smith

My sportsline league with standard scoring Emmitt looks like this.

Fantasy Points - 63 (17th ranked RB)

TD's - 4 (12th ranked RB)

Rushing Yards - 353 (22nd ranked RB)

Points by week - 14, 9, 5, 23, 12

Avg - 12 fantasy points per week


More fantasy points than Staley, Barlow, D. Davis, R. Johnson, and T. Henry

Not to bad for a guy I picked up in round 10 or something like that.

yep... he certianly is the most underrated FF player. Unfortunately that also means he has very very littel trade value :(

I have him on my team and drafted him in the 6th round of a Rookie/FA draft.

He is my #1 performing RB!!!!! I have Barlow, Griffin, Duce Staley, S Jackson, and Pittman.... hes better than all of them.

I dont know how many weeks in a row he has to perform to get some damn trade value but i hope it happens soon.

There are teams in my league starting E. George and A. Pinner but won't bite on a trade

One guy has about 5 playable WR's and the only RB's on his roster are K. Jones, C. Martin, S. Bryson.

I could use a WR but none of these guys seem interested.

They will be sorry if they come to me desperate late in the season because the price will be much higher than it is now.

I just have to get some balls myself and start him over D. Davis and Barlow before those 2 cost me some wins.

i understand that...i gotta grow some balls and start him to, i havent yet.

this week barlow is on a bye, and duce staley is on a bye. but im still to scared to start him against a tough seattle team......

i bet he scores higher than my other backs but sits on my bench yet agagin.

My RBs are Holmes, M. Faulk, Staley, and Emmit. My question is should I start Smith over Faulk, because Faulk is splitting time? I'm not going to start Staley, until he learns the Pittsburgh offense a little bit more.

Due to injuries and bye weeks I started Emmitt weeks 4 and 5, and am starting him this week as well.

He was undrafted in our league and I picked him up after the draft. It has really worked out for me.

Let's hope he does well again this week. My other back is S Davis. I'm telling you, I can't wait for Jamal to come back. I also have Onterrio, who was a WW pickup. I may start him over Davis when he comes back.

Not sure how the leading rusher in NFL history is underrated. But yeah.

He's had some good games. Take away that throwing TD and he's not even a top 20 RB. With the TD he's 17th. Not exactly a huge sleeper. Being that he's 54 years old, I'd wager he won't be able to match this production the rest of the year.

It's usually a bad idea to chase points, espically when the RB is 54 years old. But if he's your 2nd best RB, you're probably last in your league anyway so go nuts.

Actually I am 4-1-1 and have the 3rd highest pt total in the league.

if anyone would have told me old man emmit would be doing this good 7 weeks ago i would have laughed. i didnt even think he would still have a job by week 7. guess i was wrong
