Stephen Davis, who returned from knee surgery to get 15 carries against Philadelphia last Sunday, sat out practice Wednesday with swelling in that knee.

"He didn't re-injure it," coach John Fox said. "He's had swelling in his knee, really, all season so it's more of the same."

Asked if he would classify this as a setback for Davis, Fox said, "No, I don't know really what a setback is. It's not a step forward."

Fox said the swelling is normal following such surgery.

I wouldn't touch a Panters Rb back this week if you paid me. SD has an excellent run D. SD is going to upset a lot of Carolina fans this weekend who are misled into thinking all they have is LT.

That is the joy of a team experiencing some success yet still being largely ignored by the popular media (not that the Chargers haven't earned that lack of attention in recent years) - something that Carolina fans know all about after last year.

Thanks and good luck to you as well...
As for Keenan, I have heard hints that the two week roster exemption will be waived and he will see some time this week, but who knows... I think he will take a few weeks to have much effect.

Somebody you don't want on your roster. I think it's that Harris guy...Hoover's a FB, right? What happened to He Hate Me?
"The son of Bobby Bowden once again proved he's as predictable as a Julia Roberts' movie.

And upon further review, just as sappy, too."
