When will Fargas stop being such a PUD!

Postby Blitzburgh2001 » Thu Oct 21, 2004 2:11 pm

I am really searching for a 3rd RB and Fargas continues to nurse a toe/leg injury. What the f@#% is that?!

Can somebody tell me what this guy's problem is, and if he is worth wasting my time on? I know that as soon as I drop him, he'll heal up and go off for 200 yards behind an underrated oakland line.
QB - Manning, Ben Roth, Campbell
RB - Henry, T Jones, D Ward, B-Jax, Betts, B Jacobs, Selvin Young
WR - Lee Evans, Colston, Driver, Cotchery, Brandon Marshall
TE - Heap
K - Elam
DEF - Chicago

There is not a less injury prone player in the NFL as evidenced by his time (or lack thereof) at Michigan, USC and two years with the Raiders. Too bad because he has a great attitude, work ethic and exceptional talent.

Won't matter. Ricky will be a Raider in '05 and you'll be saying "Justin who".

agreed - whether its luck, genetics, or the inability to play through pain, Fargas has to be in the top 5 for most injury prone football player in the last decade.

Repeat after me: Fargas will never hold onto a feature back roll in the NFL.

From fanball.com:

Raiders: Fargas suffers lower leg injury
The News
The Oakland Tribune is reporting that although running back Justin Fargas' turf toe is improving, he suffered a lower leg injury on his first career touchdown run last Sunday against the Colts. He was wearing a protective boot after the game, and his status is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Our View
Fargas has been unable to stay healthy thus far and therefore has just two carries in the last two weeks. He would otherwise have an opportunity to make an impact given Tyrone Wheatley's shoulder injury. At this point, Fargas' fantasy relevance is more about the threat of taking carries from current Raiders' starter Amos Zereoue that it is his own performance.

The guy had one carry in the game, a one yard touchdown plunge, and he got hurt? Fargas is more brittle than Fragile Fred, Michael Bennett, and Charles "Ginger" Rogers put together!!!

This thread is great because it has the word PUD in the title.
