O Smith

I am looking ahead. I just realized that LT and my back-up running back Amos Zeroue have the same bye.
In week ten I noticed Minn plays that weak GBay runD.
Does anybody know what the plans will be in week 10 when all of Minns RB are back and healthy? Would OSmith get a few looks? Is he worth a roster spot?

When is Onterrio's suspension over? He is free and I might want to grab him after this week..

Does anyone know?

I honestly believe that Smith's job will depend on Moore's performance the next couple of weeks. Tice may be laying the tracks with that statement in case Mewelde doesn't do well, but I can't see him benching Moore if he continues to put up these kind of numbers for the next few games.

If you have roster room though, O. Smith is a good pickup off the WW. It really could go either way.

Don't forget Bennett too coming off injury now. IMO Smith is #3 but agree it depends on next couple of weeks.

Here's the Rotoworld blurb:

Oct. 23, 2004 - 2:44 pm et

Coach Mike Tice indicated that Onterrio Smith could be the team's primary running back upon his return to the lineup.

"He is a (heck) of a player. We really like him. Shoot, when it is all said and done, he might be our feature back," Tice said Friday. Looking towards next year, we'd expect Smith and Mewelde Moore to emerge as Minnesota's primary running options.

Ok my friend is a die hard Minny fan and gets some new letter magzine thing every month about them. So I dont have a link for this but I can get the name of the mag if anyone wants it.

Anyways, what rotoworld is now saying was also printed there about 2 weeks ago. It essentially said that Tice was more or less saying that Smith had played so well that there was no reason he shouldn't be the starting RB when he came back. "Just look at those stats." That was the quote they used.

but two things to keep in mind. One Tice has done this "game" plenty of times before and screwed us fantasy guys plenty of times. And second, this was all said before Moore showed he too could carry a load.

After Moore and Bennett, he's not worth a start IMO.

I'm confused b/c I thought Bennett was grandfathered in to the starting role. Despite Moore's performance, I thought he was going to be benched once Bennett works his way back in (beginning this week). I have Moore and have been so impressed with what he's done, as I was with Smith, but do they both lose out b/c it's "Bennett's job"?
