Movie Help?

Postby kevinoc81 » Mon Oct 25, 2004 8:51 am

I need help if there are any movie gurus out there.

There was this zombie movie my friends and I used to watch in high school. I don't know if it was supposed to be scary or a comedy, but we used to laugh for hours at the stupidity of the movie.

Some scenes. People are all eating dinner and pieces of the lady serving's body start falling into the meal. (ears, fingers, etc. I think)

The part I remember most though is kung-fu priest (that's what we called him beating up the zombies. He was a Priest and when he fought the zombies he used karate or something.

Anyone know what I am talking about? I can't think of it for the life of me. I think there was like a clean version and a nc-17 or mature version.

I hope someone knows the movie. Sorry for bothering you guys if no one knows what I'm talking about.

Great movie by Peter Jackson (LOTR), another trippy puppet movie by him is Meet the Feebles.
Crazy Stuff! ;-D

Hard to believe Peter Jackson went from Dead Alive to LOTR. One is a low budget horror flick, the other an epic bank-breaking trilogy. If I recall, Jackson didn't do much in between the two, did he?

The Frighteners. LOTR went into production in the late 90s. He didn't do much else because they were working on that trilogy for a long time.

I looked up his filmography, he put out a movie every year from 1992 to 1996. But other than the Frighteners and Heavenly Creatures, I hadn't heard of them. I haven't seen Heavenly Creatures yet, but it comes highly recommended from my movie fanatic brother.

Sam Raimi is kind of like Peter Jackson, in that Sam Raimi went from making horror films (Evil Dead) to box office smashes (the Spiderman series).

;-D ;-D Their synopses are fantastic. Almost makes you want to stop and rent 'Santa Claus Conquers the Martians' and 'Microwave Massacre' on your way home tonight.

I was a little disappointed that 'The Evil Dead' only earned two slimes.

Was it really supposed to be a horror or was it a comedy? (This is not meant to be sarcastic by the way, I just could never see anyone being remotely frightened)
