Hey I got a Yahoo! draft coming up on the 1st. Obviously this means we don't have our order yet. Check out this scoriing. Would this make a QB or WR a legit first round pick?

Completions (1)
Passing Yards (25 yards per point)
Passing Touchdowns (6)
Interceptions (-2)
Rushing Yards (15 yards per point)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Receptions (1)
Reception Yards (15 yards per point)
Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Yards (30 yards per point)
Return Touchdowns (6)
2 Point Conversions (2)
Fumbles Lost (-2)

It depends where you end up in the draft. The good receiving backs should still be the first taken. But, towards the middle of the first round turn the best choice is probably Marvin Harrison. And, top level QBs get bumped ahead of the 2nd tier backs that are normally taken at the end of the first round.
The facts have no meaning.

I would still take RBs 1st to be your foundation and snatch a top QB in the second

Where my normal top 20 list would be 17 RB and then The 3 WR, this changes things considerably.

1 RB LaDainian Tomlinson
2 RB Deuce McAllister
3 RB Marshall Faulk
4 RB Priest Holmes
5 RB Ricky Williams
6 WR Marvin Harrison
7 WR Terrell Owens
8 WR Randy Moss
9 RB Shaun Alexander
10 RB Clinton Portis
11 RB Ahman Green
12 RB Travis Henry
13 RB Tiki Barber
14 WR Eric Moulds
15 WR Joe Horn
16 RB Jamal Lewis
17 RB Edgerrin James
18 RB Charlie Garner
19 RB Fred Taylor
20 TE Tony Gonzalez
21 WR Koren Robinson
22 WR Peerless Price
23 TE Jeremy Shockey
24 WR Amani Toomer
25 WR Plaxico Burress
26 RB William Green
27 RB Curtis Martin
28 RB Stephen Davis
29 RB Eddie George
30 RB Trung Canidate

My opinion is your QBs get 3 pts too many and 1 pt per catch is too much also, so based on that I would consider the following:

Good QB will get 30+ TDs = extra 90+ pts @end of season

Good WR will get 100+ rec = 100+ pts @end of season

Good RB will get 70+ rec = 70+pts @end of season

So I would say that the top five picks should be RB’s but then I would go with 'best player' stratagy.

This should also move RBs like Garner and Barber up the list, they get a lot of rec.

i too agree that you might want to move the qbs ahead of some second tier backs.

but rememeber, everyone STILL has to start RBs. the tenth or even the 15th qb taken could score as well as the fourth or fifth qb, whereas the 20th rb will be no where close to the eighth (figuring based on starting positions).

with that said, i would still try to grab the stud RB early, but throw in mcnabb, gannon, culpepper and vick along with the big three wrs in your top 20 players.

“The first rule of fantasy football is always take a rb in the first round. The second rule of fantasy football is always take a rb in the first round!” (Tyler Derden) The only exception I would make would be later in the first with Harrison or Culpepper.
