How do you make pics faded into the background

I use adobe photoshop 7.0 im not to sure on how to make a picture faded into the background. can anyone help me out here thanks

you put the pic u want faded on ur sig or w/e, then u lower the opacity

ya I think skinsfan22 used that with my sig. adds a pretty dynamic touch
