FOXBORO - It didn't take long for hard-hitting safety Rodney Harrison to make his presence felt on the first day of Patriots' training camp yesterday.
During a full-pad workout in the afternoon, Harrison came up and laid a good hit on Troy Brown on a pass play over the middle. There appeared to be helmet-on-helmet contact on the hit, which is something Harrison is known for and something the veteran receiver didn't respond well to.
After the play, Brown threw the ball at Harrison before ripping off his helmet and throwing it near a group of players by the offensive huddle.
``I just tapped him,'' Harrison said afterward. ``But I think he's a little mad at me right now.''
Brown said he wasn't angry, just frustrated over getting poked in the eye.
