Postby Yuengling » Thu Oct 28, 2004 5:45 pm

Is he worth anything these days? Is he worth playing?

Thanks

No,
He throws way to many interceptions and not enough touchdowns.

The deal with Delhomme is that he was never all too good to begin with. And now that he has lost DeShaun and Steve for the season, he can't get in much worse of a situation. Their number one receiving option (arguably) is a 2nd round draft pick rookie from LSU.

I can't completely blame JD. When he lost SS that was HUGE. When Stephen Davis went down that was nearly as big. When Foster is sidelined and Hoover gets the rock btw the tackles, it's time to hit the panic button.
I just dropped JD for Jerome Pathon... I have Warner and Brees, but JD just isn't worth a roster spot right now, in ANY league...

12 team, H2H, hyper-performance, keeper (5)
Start 9: QB, 1/2RB, 2/3/4WR, 1/2TE, K, D/ST --

Warner*, Brees
Deuce, Rudi*, Moore*, Moe, Pittman, Bell, Steck
CJ*, Plaxico*, Wayne*, Pathon, Curry
Gates*
Akers*
NE D/ST*

I don't mean he sucks. But he is definitely not the stud that the SB announcers of last year would have you believe.

I still can't believe how much money they paid Delhomme in the offeseason. It's almost highway robbery. In his defense though, his running game has been banged up and his offensive line is not what it used to be. It doesn't help that his best WR, Steve Smith, is out for the season. Delhomme isn't a bad quarterback though, he's just not that great and his situation this year doesn't make him look any better. He's very droppable in any league.

Just so many injuries around him.

You're talking IMO a Top 10 WR in Steve Smith and quite possibly the best 1-2 combo in the league with Davis/Foster out of the lineup.

I can't believe a guy in my 16-teamer gave up Joe Horn to get him a week & a half ago. His only other option was Brunell, so I guess it's somewhat understandable.

no way. The best 1-2 combo in the league is Morris, Forsey.

I can't believe all he could get for Horn was Delhomme! Horn is still a very solid WR. To just get Delhomme for him is almost robbery, IMO.
