Best Buy/Fanball Fantasy Football

For those of us who are playing . . . how's everyone doing in the best buy/fanball fantasy football game? I've slowly moved up to 3331 overall, but I can't seem to crack the top 4000 (!!) on the weekly rankings, and once was as low as 48,000+. Man.

If anyone wins one of the big TV's, will you adopt me?

So yes, I am the crappiest one of the people still trying.

I just can't seem to figure out the correct strategy. I pick loser guys that are starting and stuff in order to get better players, but the guy I tag always blows it.

Ah, man, how did I hear about the game from you guys, but miss the Cafe league?! Me ain't smart! I'm bummed, especially since my 1230 point total would put me in third, and perhaps alleviate some shame that has resulted from my sluggish showing in the Cafe games this year . . .

thats me... i have had the worst luck.... i cant even tell you how mnay player i have started who got hurt at the start of the game........ roy williams, randy moss, DD, are just a few off the top of my head.

Ive been doing Ok in this thing. Not great.

I havent won anything. My best week was 231. (week 6)
That happened since I tagged C-pepp and he threw for 5 TD passes. I had 222 in week 5. I picked all the right WR, but got screwed with my RBs. The other week I havent done so well.

I haven't had any great weeks, but no terrible ones, either. I'm ranked 221 overall, but I'm almost 300 points back from the leader. One great week is all I'm asking for. Emmit and Mewelde have given me some nice points for the value. I only used Duante 3 weeks, but I got 156 of my points from him.
But, just like my regular leagues, WRs are my weakness. Aside from one week of TO and one of Andre Johnson, the WR's haven't given me much of anything.

I started out pretty far back and have finally broken the top 2000 (#1967) with 1260 points. That x2 only once per player is evil, I wasted some good guys cause I was messing around in the begining. Anyways I could care less about overall score, I just want one of those sweet big screen T.V's

Do any of you guys have a strategy that you stick with? I usually go with the cheapest Kickers, and a bargin (cheap) TE.

This is a good question. I've been aiming for balance, rather than a super-stud (and hence super-expensive) player at any one position. Thus, I haven't played CPep or Priest as part of my line-up yet . . . maybe that's why I'm doing okay, but not great. Maybe you need a stud/week, and you should hope he goes off -- it's probably "easier" at this point to win a weekly prize rather than one of the overall prizes.

That's what i've been trying to do, pick stud RB and QB and hope for a big game from the rest of my players. It hasn't worked out yet but hopefully it will by the end of they year so I can get some prizes.
