Best Kicker - Week 8

Postby drivebytruckers » Thu Oct 28, 2004 7:05 pm

Kickers, are not really that big of a deal in fantasy football. So I pick up a kicker each week. Just wondering if anyone has any clue of who might put up some points this week.

Lotta decent options. I know people are high on Neil Rackers (Cards) after last week of him booting 3-50+ yd. field goals v. Seattle. While it would be foolish to expect him to do that again, the Cards may have confidence in him from long range and be willing to attempt the kick rather than punt or go for it. Plus, the Cards play in a classic "stall" offense where they can get to within field goal range and no further. The Bills D doesn't allow a ton of points, so the Cards may be forced to kick a lot this Sunday, if you're looking for a one week play.

Another one people are high on is Nate Kaeding, the rookie from the Chargers who missed his first attempt of the season last week. San Diego is a much improved team, particularly on offense, and plays Oakland this week so they could put up the points. In fact, bank on it.

Kris Brown is a guy not alot of people have who may be looking at alot of field goals with Jacksonville in town. Rackers would be an excellent fantasy kicker if AZ could just muster a little more offense, that may happen with Boldin back now.
