Roster of Convicts

Postby Diablo13 » Thu Oct 28, 2004 8:06 pm

In the spirit of meanness, anger, and lost tempers, lets put it to some good FF use.

There are a lot of NFL players that have had bad problems with the law before the NFL (Jamal Lewis) temper tantrums in the locker room (Ryan Leaf) Parking lot accidents (Randy Moss) shootings outside of nightclubs (Joey Porter) On field attitude (T.O.) Post NFL career legal problems (O.J.).

If you were to make an all-time NFL bad boy team, whether the player is new, old, alive, dead, how would your roster look.

QB ......
RB ......
RB ......
WR ......
WR ......
TE ......
K ......
DST ......
DB ......
DB ......
DL ......
DL ......

Has this ever been done before?
Seems like a fun project!

Talking about attitude problems...I can name a couple of Kickers that fit that criteria.

Janikowski drunk all the time.
Vanderjact talking smack about his team.

They don't have to be a BadA**, just have be a delinquent

Well, Bill Gramatica wins the Stupid Kicker spot for celebrating and breaking his leg/ankle (forgot) in a 1st Quarter field goal hit.

QB-Jim Drunkenmiller - "she wanted it"
RB-OJ - "only thing I've been convicted of is running through airports"
RB-WR- Rae Carruth, duh
WR-Tommy Kane - manslaughter
TE- Mark Chmura - statutory rape? or sexual assault?
K SeaBass apparently has competition from another Raiders kicker, Cole Ford: http://www.americasmostwanted.com/fugit ... m?id=28757
DST
DB - Dwight Smith - Road Rage
DB
DL - Alonzo Spellman - "You all can wait until we crash, but I'm getting off this plane now"
DL -

Bench:
QB Art Schlichter - "I just like my money clean"
WR-Tony Woodruff - bank robber?
Jamal Lewis - drug dealer or just money launderer?
LB-Bill Romanowski -

DUI, Substance Abuse and Domestic Assault are too easy, so I tried to stay away from those.

I'll take a stab at it...

QB: Kerry Collins, alcoholic (gut shot to Amazinz... ;-D )
RB: OJ Simpson, killed his wife and her lover
RB: Jamal Lewis, moves blow for buddies
WR: Randy Moss, runs over traffic cops
WR: Michael Irvin, loves coke and whores
TE: Randy McMichael, beats hhis pregnant wife
K: Sebastian Janikowski, alcoholic (haha... and Kerry's new oakland drinking buddy)
DST*: Rod Smart, insane (c'mon... "he hate me"?)
DB: Brock Marion, coke head
DB: Patrick Bates, beat pregnant girlfriend 3 weeks before baby's birth, then kidnapped baby, then beat mother with a gun
DL: Leon Lett, hopped on something new each week
DL**: Ray Lewis, killed two people... or at least "obstructed evidence"

Honorable Mentions:

RB: Ricky Willaims, pothead

WR: Rae Carruth, murdered pregnant girlfriend (what IS it about pregnant women that pisses NFL players off so much?) so he wouldn't have to pay child support

TE: Mark Chmura, sexually assulted his children's babysitter

DL/LB: Leonard Little, DUI manslaughter

DL/LB: Cornelius Bennett, charged with rape, sodomy, sexual abuse, unlawful imprisionment

* I assume DST stands for special teamer? no idea... can't think of any bad boy special teamers anyway... crazy Rod has to do. If you saw any interviews he had in the XFL, you'd know why...

** Since there was no LB category, I added Ray Ray as a DL

That's about it, for now. I'll add to the list if I come across some more good ones.

Dude, I have to go with Fuad Reveiz. He kicked with the Vikings about 10 years ago. I'm fairly certain he was the first kicker in NFL history to get a 15 yard personal foul penalty. It was kind of a weak call, but he did hit some guy out of bounds that was running back a kickoff... !+)

Now he works on ESPN Deportes! ;-D
