Question... about Tim Rattay.

Postby RODOG » Fri Oct 29, 2004 9:08 am

What do you guys think Of Rattay? (QB SF) I know his line kinda sucks giving up the booty in sacks, but he has the ability to throw for 200+ yards a game 1 td. How serious is the forearm injury?

I also have Pennington going up against Miami secondary

Rattay vs. Chicago

Who would you play Rattay or Chad?

If he is relatively healthy, I'd take a shot at Rattay. He might throw some picks ect., but at least he has been willing to go for the endzone. The Jets are doing just fine without much from Pennington. I can't see them changing their game plan much against Miami.

Note: As for the SF O-Line: While they may be "giving up the booty in sacks" now, that is only because of the team culture under previous QB J. Garcia. As Garcia's influence fades, so should this culture of "giving up the booty" in San Fransisco. ;-7

Im actually pretty high on Rattay. In the time hes played hes always produced, he throws a great ball. The only problem this week is his throwing forarm is hurting. I would say keep an I on it till gametime, but if he plays, id play start him.

Play a real conservative game plan, I would like to see them open it up a bit. I'm afraid they will and I'll miss Chad throwing 4td's. I dont think they will do it against a tough Miami secondary.

I think with Rattay playing from behind in most games he's been able to put up good numbers, but with Chicago's anemic offense the opportunity's to throw the ball will be limited, but the same can be said for Miami. The difference being that Miami actually has a more dependable defens that could cause more 3 and outs. At the same time Pennington has been more dependable over the years and has a better surrounding offense. With all that being said and knowing that Urlacher, Ogunleye and Boone are all injured you realize that Chicago's defense is in trouble so I would go with Rattay

I'm starting Rattay this week because Brooks is on bye.

By the way, why did you just put "Question" in the title of the thread? At least mention Rattay.

Was that it? I figured that you didn't want to be specific in your title because it would be too obvious that this question belongs in the Start/Bench Forum.

Example: Sit Pennington vs. Miami for Rattay vs. CHI?
