R. Moss upgraded to probable

Postby FlcnFan » Fri Oct 29, 2004 5:02 pm

NFL.com wire reports

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Oct. 29, 2004) -- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss was upgraded to probable for Minnesota's game against the New York Giants after participating in an entire practice for the first time in nearly two weeks.

"That's big," coach Mike Tice said. "We're pretty excited."

Moss, who strained his right hamstring in a win at New Orleans on Oct. 17, made a token start last week against Tennessee but played just two snaps as a decoy. He is expected to play a larger role against the Giants on Sunday, but won't be at full strength for at least two more weeks.

The five-time Pro Bowler leads the Vikings with 394 yards receiving and eight touchdowns this season. He's tied with running back Mewelde Moore for the team lead in receptions with 26.

Moss has played in 102 consecutive games.

Seems like he might still be a risk to start
"I'm trying to be positive. I'm a big fan of the Nobel Peace Prize."

Dear Mr. Tice,

When you say "probable", do you mean that he'll probably suit up and sit on the bench? Or do you perhaps mean that he'll probably catch one TD pass for 8 yards? Or could you mean that he'll probably play an entire game?

Your friend,
RC

PS: Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, and you & I will be re-enacting a scene from Deliverance.

He's on my bench until he shows he's healthy. I'll stick with
H Ward, Stokley and Burleson.

I think I would have to keep Candy on the shelf until he shows that he feels healthy enough to perform. He showed last week that he will dress just to keep his start streak alive. I hope he sits, I need something out of Burlyman this week.
