Najeh Davenport hopes to play more than a bit part in the upcoming football season. Originally drafted as the eventual successor to fullback William Henderson, Davenport split his time at halfback last year. He's exclusively a halfback now, and despite the offseason acquisition of 10-year veteran Lamar Smith, Davenport is clearly the No. 2 tailback behind Pro Bowl performer Ahman Green.
