Leftwich done for the year?

Garrard actually started a game or two as a rookie if I recall when Brunnell got hurt a few seasons back. He looked pretty good considering he was a rookie. He is similar in build to Lefty but more mobile and not quite as big of an arm.

I would wait an see with Jimmy Smith for awhile. Jimmy's made Lefty more than Lefty's made Jimmy this year. As for Fred Taylor, I can actually see his fantasy value possibly getting a boost from this. I've got to think that plan A now has to be to get Fred involved in the offense much like he was the second half of last year. The good news is that they have the week off to get a game plan together to make a go at it without Lefty.

my god, my qb jinx continues. I draft mcnair, he is terrible and I switch to lefty and now he may be out, I just picked up delhome as a bye week filler and he could be my starter the rest of the year, lol. My god I am screwed

If the ESPN report is from Chris Mortenson, you should count on it being true. DelRio or someone might spin a media story for the next few days, but Morty is always dead on and has more NFL scoops (injury or otherwise) from inside sources than all the other NFL reporters combined over the last few years.

See ya next year, Lefty . . . . :~(

After suffering zero's week in and week out with Pennington, I thought I was riding high when I inserted Lefty into the lineup. The 300 yard, 2 td games were going to be a staple for me every freakin' Sunday Now?? Pennington again?! Please wake up Santana!!
Play with all you have.

not to be an a$$ and appear unconcerned for Garrards health etc, but he is a liability. The guy has Crohn's disease. Though right now its not bothering him at all, he could relapse at ANY time. Football has no ramifications on him playing, for better or worse. However, without knowing too much about the disease except from the small snippits I've read about Garrard, I would find it hard to depend on someone like that.

On a more humane level, i wouldn't want him playing through that kind of pain. Its my understanding that this disease is extremely painful.

Just wonderful. Dropped Delhomme for Lefty in time to start him for the dud at Houston. The guy I didn't pick up, Brees, got snagged Sunday a.m. by our league-leader just in time for his 5-TD show against the Nation.
Now it's back to Delhomme, McNair, or grab Rattay and hope his arm don't fall off in practice this week. Guh.

Wow, I just traded for Leftwich in a keeper league last week. And he didn't come cheap either. Hopefully its just 4-6 weeks instead of the whole season :-/

i can't believe some one would say garrard has a weaker arm! there is no one in the NFL that can throw farther. on a game covered by espn, syracuse vs. ecu , garrard threw 80 yards on the run! the commentator ' salsbury' said he had never seen anything like it...........

hmm doing the math and iof this takes 6 weeks leftwich should be back just in time for the playoffs. But will he be rusty? Id say if there is someone on waivers that is posting decent stats, you may want to drop lefty.

All of you people that seem to love Garrard here..saying he is more mobile and stronger arm or whatever than Leftwich...

If he is that good why hasn't he been the starter all along? He has been there awhile. Shouldn't he be the guy?

I have a hard time believing he is better than Leftwich.
