J Stewart gonna hold onto his job?

Postby Comfortably Numb » Mon Jul 28, 2003 10:33 am

Anyone know if Stewart will be Mooch's man?
Will someone else eventually take over?
Lt. Dan: "Have you found Jesus yet Gump?"

Forrest Gump: "I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him - Sir!"

Just depends on how J. Stewart performs this year. He will only be getting about 60% of the carries and that will give the younger backs (Shawn Bryson and rookie Artose Pinner) a chance to take J. Stewart's job.

I like Stewart. I think he could have done better last year with a better coach. So yes, I think he keeps his job.

Yes he injured his leg in the Senior Bowl. Questionable for training camp. He could miss some games. He's competing for the role of the third-down back.

Right now I've heard that Stewart is the only "injury-free" RB in Detroit's camp. I think he'll see most of the production this season, and he may spark a new life under mooch.

i agree. i like stewart this year. alot of positive changes made in detroits offense this year, namely the development of harrington, the drafting of rogers, and the signing of mooch.
