Big Ben Rothelisberger

Ok. This guy is just putting teams to sleep. Imparticularly the Pats. No since September last year was able to reach that goal. Now people thought that the team would be someone like the colts. Well in week 1 they didn't quite get it. So the Steelers came as underdogs. (Espiecally since Big Ben was at QB) But with the help of a solid running game from Duce and ltos of hep from plaxiglass, ward and Randel El. They were able too put the Pats to sleep. Is this guy for real? When is he going to come bac down to earth?Just wondering what you guys think of Big Ben. ;-D

he is good, no doubt. but he did beat a depleted pats team. and the list of teams he did beat are hardly that exemplary. the pats were forced to be one dimensional, and they had a depleted secondary.

I don;t know what to expect this week, but the eagles can be more exotic with their pass rush, and they have their corners and secondary in tact. I think he goes down this week, but what do I know? I just don't think their defense is that good, but it should be quite the showdown.

miami, dallas, cincy, cleveland isn't exactly murderer's row -- especially when you get cle at home and not in their place.

big test for him this week. but an undeniably take notice start to hsi career.

Roethlisberger is phenomenal at managing a game especially for someone with so little experience. True the teams he has faced aren't exactly powerhouses but it is hard to ignore a 104 QB rating no matter who you play. Miami, Balt, and New England are all good to great defenses and he was able to preform well against them. Phillies defense gives up more yards through the air than any team he has faced other than Cleveland so I wouldn't expect that much of a dropoff from his normal performance. I'd expect him to actually turn the ball over this game but I think you can still expect 200-230 yds and a TD or 2 to go with the pick. Cowher is going to protect his young QB from making mistakes by forcing Philly to stop the run which means playing those safties closer to the line which opens up the already vulnerable eagle D to the deep ball to plax that Big Ben loves to throw so often.

The key to actually winning the game is going to be field position you have JR Reed for the eagles and Randle El for the steelers two of the premier return men in the league right now. Whoever has the shortest field to work with the most times will win this game.

he certainly took apart the greatly depleted NE defence.

i guess here we run into the difference between fantasy and reality.

eagles pass d is vulnerable from a fantasy standpoint, but from the reality standpoint, it seems to me that while the game is still in question, the pass d is pretty tight. many of the pass yards seem to either come from dink and duink or junk time plays.

The boller td being and exception. And I will add that celveland looked good on paper, but to people watching the game, they had a hell of a lot of illegal picks and tactics that should have been called.

anyway, from a fantasy standpoint, bear in mind that the eagles give up the second fewest ppg in the league. Also bear in mind that their rush defense is more vulnerable to cutback runners and not of the bettis and duce variety. I would be willing to bet that reid will know how to gameplan for duce.

but it really is something we won't know for sure until monday. steelers are good.

Pats were injured but so were the Steelers. 2 first round picks were out: Hampton & Chad Scott ....and Kendrell Bell missed as well.

Look what Garcia did to the Eagles...
One for the thumb...
