Is McCardell the Chargers' #1 WR now?

Postby RiverRat_ffc » Wed Nov 03, 2004 5:46 pm

Now that he's played a couple games and seen the end zone, is it safe to say that McCardell could be Brees' new favorite target?
QB: Hasselbeck, Plummer, Volek, Collins
RB: Lewis, Droughns, O. Smith, Blaylock
WR: Holt, A. Johnson, Bruce, R. Smith,
TE: Crumpler, Cooley
K: Lindell
DEF: Buffalo

I would not mind seeing that...think I need to make a trade because I have Brees, McCardell and Gates...hate having 3 guys from the same team in my lineup.

a clear number one choice for Brees ? no... but he is the perfect compliment to Gates and Parker

look for McCardell to continue to excel

gates is the red-zone target.

that said, keenan will have a chance to break one or two long receptions each game, just because of LT2.

Agreed. If you want just "WR's", then McCardell is the clear choice, but if you just want recievers (as in anyone who catches passes), then I think Gates has the slight edge

agreed with meshawn. But also, right now, McCardell might be greater than Parker, but Parker has more breakout ability... especially in years to come.
