Should Dave Wandstedt get fired?

Postby Comfortably Numb » Mon Jul 28, 2003 3:14 pm

I think he is horrible, got too much credit for the Bears.
I remeber last game against the Pats.
they blew such a big lead, and Ricky barely touched the ball late in the game.
Horrble play calls.

I am a big Jets fan and love the rivalry between us.
I think the have legitemate shot at the Superbowl, the X factor bieng the coach.

I don't think he can make it through the playoff without getting outcoached.

So when they fail to reach the Conference finals this year I hope the Dolphins don't stay satisfied, the have a Superbowl team.

Just one Jets fan with too much time on his hands, your opinions?

Your right. I hope that the Dolphin's team is not wasted because of Dave.

Should Dave Wandstedt be fired? Yes, next question!
He is in the realm of coaches that I abhor. The control freaks who’s desire to coach means more than the chance to win. What I mean is, if you rush twice and then throw a short possession pass and it happens to work out-boy! That’s great coaching. A 50yard pass play or an Barry Sanders-like run relies more on talent and so minimizes the impact of the coach. How else can you explain Fieldler keeping a starter job? Raving egomaniacs, like Wandstedt, are killing the game. The problem is that conservative play calling will win games, that is until you play someone with better talent or execution. Then the Fins are grabbing golf clubs rather than footballs. Oh and did I mention that I don’t like Wandstedt? :-t

Where is this coming from?

Dave was smart enough to back getting Ricky Williams - whatever the cost - last year, and beef up an already great D in the off-season this year.
Whadda-ya-want?

I think I detect some Dolphin-envy here.

Smart enough?
Ricky was the best Dolphin RB in team history BEFORE he put their uniform on.
He would be a nut to to back him.
Even if he was a member of the Taliban.
Bottom line he has alot of talent and underachieves-consistantly
They won't ever go far with him.

Never liked him with the Bears, and now that I see him play the Jets I see how much more I don't like him.
Why am I complaining, as long as he sucks, the Jets have a better chance :)
