Better keeper value: Portis v J. Lewis

I will not say which player I have to keep things fair.

However I can acquire one guy for the other essentially. I was curious, which would you rather have for the next 5 years in a keeper league?

Scoring for RB's in our league:

TD = 6 pts
+ 2 pts at 100 yds rush (+1 for every 50 thereafter)
+ 2 pts at 50 yds rec (+1 for every 25 thereafter)

I know where I stand... Just want some confirmation...

jamal lewis no question. Portis, to me, doesnt fit in well with washington.

Can't go wrong with either choice but I'd take Portis for the long haul. Gibbs will fix the current mess.

I'd take Jamal, but I've had him for the last two years and am biased. Jamal is also a little riskier with his off the field issues and a couple of serious injuries in his past, but he is 24 or 25 and rushed for 2K last year. I don't think Portis will get much worse than he has been this year.

the long haul? nahh... lewis is a better back... and Balt's rushing o-line is better than washingtons. Even if Gibbs fixes the o-line, he's in a tougher division. C'mon... he has to face a "steller" dallas squad twice a year...

Jamal is a diesel. Can't go wrong with either, but I'd go with J-Lew.

For the future (assuming a dynasty league), I'd take Portis. If you are trying to build a dynasty around one person, I try to avoid players with legal trouble. Just sort of a habit; don't like to take that kind of risk. Though its really close

There are too many issues in Redskins' land that's beyond Clinton's control- the football player I mean. It's a system's issue like someone alluded to. It's the QB, it's the Oline, it's the receivers- I can go on but don't want to be accused of being negative.

Portis is a talent in a wrong system- sort of like telling Secretariat to race my Frazier dog in a 10 yard dash- he just doesn't fit and the system can't seem to change to fit him.

Portis. I honestly can't see him being this bad for the rest of the season, let alone his career. Plus people point to Portis being injury-prone, Jamal Lewis has had two major knee surgeries already.
