I know this guy is far from a superstar and should really only be considered in emergency cases (byes/injury situations) but he is really creating a little stir in the other forums.

People are picking him up and even starting him this week. He is up against the Panthers who are letting up an avg of 153 rushing yards a game.

BTW, I plan on starting him with Amahn Green on a bye and over Suggs (v. Balt).

I just wanted to get your thoughts on the guy.

I think people are jumping on the Wheatley wagon a little early. He's still not 100% and he has to contend with too many other possible RBs (Z, Crockett, Fargas). Still, if you have a spot because of the bye, you could probably do worse.

WHEATLEY is worthless. The guy can't get a 1 inch run with the game on the line. He needs to go back any play with Michigan, maybe those college defenders will make him look better.

I'm starting him for the C.Brown bye week.
Pather D is like wet tissue paper this year. If Dan Morgan doesn't play then roll the dice with Wheat.
Amos proved he couldn't handle the load. Fargas will probably be shut down for the year. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't start him if you need a RB this week. Don't use his shoulder as an excuse. Every RB is banged up this time of the year.

I think Wheatley will prove to be a very nice pickup. Amos is ineffective and a very small concern, and Fargas is way too injury-prone to ever have a significant impact. Starting RBs always contain value, and am very pleased to have him as a backup.
