Okra #1?
Tom Cruise?
Lucy?
The Beatles not even in the top 10?
I'm laughing.
Excuse ME, but John, Paul, George and Ringo are Pop Icons that will never, ever be repeated. Ever.
Not in your or anyone else's lifetime.

These people are EITHER completely uninformed or totally insane.
Maybe they just do this just to generate controversy and some talk. Promotion. Bottom line.

For those of you not there - I swear.
You can't IMAGINE what it was like in 1964.
There has never, ever been anything like The Beatles.
Not in my lifetime. Or yours. Or ever again.

It would seem that anyone that goes by ONE SINGLE NAME and is still known by everyone would be one heck of a pop icon. Therefore, although I am not necessarily a fan, I would vote for CHER to be in the top 10, followed closely by PRINCE.

Any other single name pop icon stars?
