Lions’ rookie wide receiver Charles Rogers suffered a dislocated left ring finger during practice Tuesday morning. "I was just going up for a pass and it just happened," Rogers told the Associated Press. "I kind of jammed it. It's not an injury that's going to have me out a long time." How long is not exactly known yet. Head coach Steve Mariucci said it was an “open dislocation” meaning the skin was broken and Rogers required a few stitches. “If there is nothing broken and it’s still in place, then it may just be a matter of the stitches holding up and him being back in a few days," Mariucci told the team’s web site. "He has to see the specialist first.”
Rogers will see a hand specialist Wednesday and we should know more information afterward. We’ll pass along the information on his timetable when it becomes available.
