OK, first he walks out of an exam once he realizes they expect him to participate. No prob, OSU has the progressive oral exam program. To qualify you must be a talented football player and be able to spell your name(2points), mothers name(2points), Ohio(1point), and for 2 bonus points-coach. Needed to pass -2points. I’m told Clarett passed after retaking the oral only one time. Now today we here that some thug stole $10,000 worth of stuff from his car! Included were a $5,000 in stereo equipment, 300 Cds, valued at $4,500, and $800 in cash. Nothing suspicious there! How long before the NCAA declares Clarett ineligible? I wonder if his close relationship with Lebron James has anything to do with it? Maybe his aunt gave it to him, not unlike Traylor’s aunt giving him the SUV that he rolled over while at U of M. This year was going to be the year the big eleven had two of the best teams and now OSU’s rigid academic standards place their season at risk.

Now, we all know by now that Clarett is an idiot. But there have been idiot's with SOME common sense before. Even at Ohio State believe it or not. Remember Andy Katzenmoyer?? He needed to be eligible to play against Michigan at the end of the season (still got thumped tho) so he took "beginner's golf" to boost his GPA. Although he still almost failed, he at least realized his ignorance and took advantage of Ohio State's weak academic policy.

When you combine idiocy and arrogance you get Clarett. When you combine idiocy, arrogance, and football you get a Buckeye! The rumors floating around here are that the school suspends him 6 games as a pre-emptive strike to avoid the NCAA from further investigation. Apparently Clarett is one of many OSU athletes who are, shall we say, somewhat less than Rhodes scholars. Scape-goating Clarett may save OSU from severe sanctions, possibly forfeiture of their championship.
