Error, Error. Brees will not go somewhere and be a backup. Yes, that includes Green Bay. Why would he? He is a starter now. I think his most logical fit (despite nobdy mentioning them) would be the Miami Dolphins. He should have a good running game (supposedly Edge) to balance what he had in San Diego and a subpar WR core. Miami's defense is the difference maker. You heard it here first. Brees will be in a Dolphin blue next season.

Well that is a good point except: 1. None of those QBS played. 2. Washington's RB had more TD's than the person starting ahead of Ramsey.
wait which is it? They need another QB b/c they cant win? Or they already are using subpar QBs and ARE winning? If they can win w/ basically backups, why go for ANOTHER QB when your main guys/future guys arent even playing.
Why not focus on the other parts of my response? Why in the world would these teams tie so much money up in one position and its backup?
Miami, What does this team not need?
Younger Defensive players.
WR core is arguable.
Oakland, Gannon is gone...Collins has almost proven inept...Tuiasosopo is destined to be a back-up....Tui had his chances and failed miserably and to rub salt into the wound h gets injured in the same chances.

*Green Bay (Favre can stay on one more year to tutor, and then Brees becomes the feature QB)
*Kansas City (what, you thought Green would live forever? Collins, the backup, isn't young either. nor is he good.)
*Raiders (Collins isn't exactly working out great, and Gannon is done)
Would Be Crappy:
*Miami (Brees would suffer and die there... but he would have a nice WR corps... Booker/Chambers/Boston ... ooohhh...)
*Baltimore (they'll give Boller one more shot)
*Dallas (Henson... oh yeah)
*Washington (Ramsey is still young)
*Arizona (McCown gets 1-2 more years... and with Boldin/Fitz, they might get a good pass attack going on)
*49ers (naw... Rattay is doing ok)
*Tampa (Griese is king in Tampa... at least I hope)
*Bears (Krenzel and Grossman... no way)
*Detroit (even if they are unhappy with Harrington, which they aren't, McMahon is awesome... at least I think).
*Tennessee (Volek will get the nod when Mac 9 goes)
I think that's it. If I think of more, they'll be added.
Anyone know the percent of 1st round QB's who are actually successful - pretty low. What makes Phillip Rivers have a better shot at success then the other 1st round QB's? He hasn't proven anything yet.
Why would San Diego give up Brees for Rivers when Rivers has less then a 50/50 chance at being a starter quality QB (let alone Pro Bowl caliber)? Keep the QB who is showing that he's got skills and trade away Rivers. I just can't imagine San Diego letting Brees walk.
Imagine what their fans would do if they let go of Brees and then Rivers turns out to be a bit better than say Akili Smith or Cade McNown.
