suppose viniateri attempts a 50 yard field goal and leaves it short. Some dude fields it in the air and returns it for a touch -- does that TD count against the IND D/ST? or is it like a pick/fumble recovery?

You have to individually start Vinatieri, that's why he would get the TD toss in my book. You wouldn't credit the D/ST with a FG he made.

It does NOT go to the special teams. If you gave them that TD, you would also have to give them extra points and FGs, as that is the same unit on the field in those cases.

I gotta agree wiht the flux here. Also weiht the point that u dont start IDPs in a tesm D league, bot u do start invidual kickers, making it a TD for only viniteri ( SP)
