I sure as hell wouldn't be benching Culpepper. He will probably RUN two TD's in against GB! 8-o
"Sometime during the Pats game last week, I decided that Tomlinson was the best overall running back of my lifetime. There's nothing he can't do: deadly receiver, tough inside runner, explosive to the outside, you name it." - ESPN's Bill Simmons

Play CPep... Pittman is going to get the bulk of the game in Atlanta...

I don't know about that...Atlanta is much better at stopping the run than the pass. I could see Pittman being on the receiving end quite often, though.

It's not like Culpepper is terrible without Moss. The Vikings just aren't as potent scoring. They don't have as many options. Culpepper's yardage and TDs have suffered but he hasn't become any less accurate or started throwing a bunch of INTs. NYG routinely kicks Minnesota's ass whether Moss is there or not and Indy holds onto the ball against everyone.

The other half of this is that Minnesota's D can't get off the field last game. 7 possessions all game. They scored 4 times. They just didn't have the ball much.

Off the subject

Postby jsk002 » Sat Nov 13, 2004 5:54 pm

"I know this is off subject, but I think what this whole discusson does is give power to the argument that Manning is the better QB of the 2. If Harrison were the one having to miss 3-4 games I don't think anyone would even consider benching Manning. "

Yeah, manning has more weapons though and a coach who will let him throw. You can put C-pepp in Indys offense and he would do just as well.[/quote]

What kind of an idiot would bench culpepper.

Glad I changed my mind and started him. Thanks for all the insight people.

This afternoon showed why you don't bench Culpepper. I can't tell you how many Carr over Culpepper threads I saw this week...In my league: Carr=1 pt, CPep=40...There's a reason you drafted him first (or traded for him), you gotta ride your best horse.

I think some people do it just to be controversial. Sure Culpepper may have a few bad games without Moss, but his bad games are still better than most. And he may just go off like he did today. Not likely that Brees or Griese will even come close over the long run.

Let's hear from some of the those Culpepper benchers out there...

How did Carr & Rothlesberger do for ya?

Why aren't you in my leagues?
