Eli Manning value

Postby marcusallen » Mon Nov 15, 2004 3:05 pm

Great timing!

I just picked him up off FA list (in our very deep league), some numbnuts just dropped him.

Anyways, I've got Favre/Plummer and Rattay, in our start 2 QB league.

Our deadline for trades is Friday, and I'm prepared to deal Rattay, but am curious as to what Eli's value is (right now/by Fri.)???

Thanks.

Well I would most def shy away from him his first game very very risky to start him without seeing him play a whole regular season game. I think his value is to hard to determine right now but by next week a little better picture.

I concur. Especially against Atlanta's D.

ATL has a bad pass defense.
One for the thumb...

And I'm sure Eli will be too green to exploit it and he'll rely on the run...

They also have 27 sacks.

They'll be putting the heat on Eli all day.

Atlanta is a great play this week. They are a top 3 rush defense plus they are playing a rookie QB.

I agree with BH...plus the Giants o-line is suspect Warner wasn't back there running all over the place for his health he usually only had a second or two to throw....Kerney could break the single game sack record against NYG this weekend

Well, let's just say I didn't wait long to find out his value:

I just traded Eli & Dom Davis for:

Tiki Barber! ;-D

I very much like Tiki's playoff matchups vs. Dom Davis'.

;-D Nice trade! I'm a fellow Tiki owner, and I'm very happy with his matchups through the playoff weeks.

Eli Manning Sub Question: Does this change mean good news for WR Amani Toomer, or will Eli spend the next few games mostly dumping to Shockey?

Thanks. I don't think it can get any worse for Amani. But Tiki definitely should be quite busy!! ;-D
